This journey has not been quick or easy. It has taken years of practice, mistakes, and growth before I felt my work was strong enough to barter, trade, or share with the world. Only in this past year have I stepped forward as a craftsperson, ready to offer pieces that honor both tradition and innovation.
I want to acknowledge something important: many non-Natives create “native style” items and claim they were shown by real tribal members. While some may mean well, our communities do not appreciate cultural appropriation — no matter how loving the intent. These designs are not just patterns; they are identity, heritage, and living culture
My Grandparents and parents were traditional weavers, and as such they tried their best to teach me and I tried my best growing up to just be there in the moment with them, now that everyone has travelled on to that other place, I have picked up the tools and tried to do justice to the things that they tried to teach, and I know every day is a chance to grown, change and learn.

Growing up in the remote mountains of Northern California—where the nearest store was miles away and everything cost a little more—taught me what truly matters. That same remoteness that once made life challenging is exactly what preserved our way of life. Today, it's why our traditions remain vibrant, our languages are still spoken, and our connection to the land runs deep. The distance that kept others out kept our culture strong.

Each piece I create incorporates authentic tribal designs passed down through generations—from the geometric patterns found in our basketry to the symbols that represent our connection to the rivers, forests, and mountains.
